RAGBRAI EVENT KICKS OFF IN SIOUX CITY ON JULY 19, 2015. : RAGBRAI (Register's Annual Great Bike Ride Across Iowa) will begin in Sioux City on July 19. The event draws 10,000 bicyclists and spectators. Regular park visitors should be aware that the park could be very busy that day with the extra people associated with the bicycle event. Campers wishing to camp at Stone must reserve a campsite or register as a first-come, first-serve camper and pay the appropriate fees. All camping rules and regulations apply including a limit of six people per campsite and one camping unit per campsite or a maximum of two tents per campsite. DescriptionWelcome to Stone State Park, located in the scenic Loess Hills of western Iowa. Although the park is located close to the creature comforts of Sioux City, you might be surprised at the extraordinary scenic beauty and abundant wildlife you can find in this rugged park. Stone State Park is on the Loess Hills National Scenic Byway. The byway passes through this unique land formation that's about 200 miles long.
The park is located in the northwest corner of Sioux City.

State regulations require horses, mules and donkeys being transported interstate (from one state to another) must have a current Certification of Veterinary Inspection (health certificate) and a negative Coggin's test (EIA). This paperwork must accompany the animal into the State of Iowa. Please refer to www.iowaagriculture.gov/animalindustry/horseadmissionregs.asp for more information. This law applies to equestrian camping, day-use and trail riding in any State owned Park or Forest.
